Seven stages, start to arrival

Confirm your offer
Accept the unconditional offer, pay the deposit and receive your acceptance letter.

Gather documents
Passport, offer letter, tuition receipt, bank statements, sponsor affidavit, IELTS, SOP and previous refusal disclosure.

Prove finances
Show €10,000 for the first year of living costs plus tuition. Funds must be held in your or your sponsor's name for at least 28 days.

Book medical insurance
Minimum €25,000 benefit. Study & Protect, Irish Life Health and VHI are common providers.

Submit the AVATS application
Complete the online form, print, sign and lodge it with VFS Dhaka along with biometrics.

Decision & interview
Most cases are decided on documents in 8–12 weeks. Interviews are rare but prepare anyway.
- 7
Travel & registration
Book flights after the visa stamp. Register in Ireland within 90 days for your IRP card.
